Aiyedatiwa Flags Off the Cash Transfer Program
Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has officially launched the distribution of N1.2 billion in cash support to vulnerable families in Ondo State. This initiative is part of the Federal Government’s National Social Investment Programme (NSIP), aimed at prioritizing social inclusion and economic empowerment.
Renewed Hope for Vulnerable Citizens
Speaking at the launch, Governor Aiyedatiwa emphasized his administration’s commitment to supporting vulnerable citizens through strategic partnerships with the Federal Government. The event, held at the Akure South Local Government Secretariat, marked the distribution of Renewed Hope Debit Cards to thousands of beneficiaries.
Who Benefits and How Much?
A total of 16,255 beneficiaries from all 18 Local Government Areas will receive ₦75,000 each. This amount will be disbursed in monthly installments of ₦25,000 over three months, directly through their debit cards. This phase marks a significant expansion of the social safety net, building upon the previous distribution of 8,637 debit cards in November 2024, which amounted to ₦647,775,000.
