Get ready for a wild story! An Angolan businessman’s trip to Turkey was cut short when he was caught trying to smuggle a belly full of cocaine through Kano Airport. Nigeria’s anti-drug agency, NDLEA, is on the case, and they’re not playing around!
Here’s what you need to know:
- An Angolan man was arrested at Kano Airport for ingesting 120 wraps of cocaine.
- He was trying to fly to Istanbul, Turkey.
- NDLEA also intercepted cocaine hidden in vehicle propellers and Canadian Loud concealed in mattresses.
Angolan’s Tummy Trouble: Cocaine Bust at Kano Airport!
Imagine this: You’re at the airport, ready for your flight, and then BAM! You’re busted for having a stomach full of cocaine. That’s exactly what happened to a 42-year-old Angolan businessman, Mbala Dajou Abuba, at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA). The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) caught him red-handed last Tuesday while he was trying to board an Egypt Air flight to Istanbul, Turkey, via Cairo.
According to NDLEA spokesman Femi Babafemi, after a body scan confirmed Abuba had ingested something suspicious, he was kept under observation. Turns out, he expelled 120 pellets of cocaine, weighing a hefty 1.829 kilograms, over seven excretions!
From Township Delivery to Drug Trafficking?
In his statement, Abuba claimed he used to run a township delivery service in Angola before getting into the drug game. Seems like business wasn’t booming enough!
