Governor Alia announced the scholarships at the combined 22nd, 23rd, and 24th convocation ceremony of BSU. The scholarships cover master’s degree programs at BSU, allowing the graduates to deepen their knowledge in their chosen fields without financial burden. Honoring a Legacy: Renaming BSU
In addition to the scholarships, Governor Alia revealed plans to rename BSU after its founder, the late Rev. Fr. Moses Adasu. Expanding Access to Education: New Campuses on the Horizon
The governor also announced plans to expand access to higher education by establishing new BSU campuses. Investing in Technology: 500 Computers for BSU

Prof. Tor Iorapuu, the Vice Chancellor of BSU, highlighted the university’s ongoing development, including the construction of a 144-bed hostel for students. He also mentioned the planned relocation of the Faculty of Technology and Industrial Studies to the new Adikpo campus. These developments underscore BSU’s commitment to providing a conducive learning environment for its students.

Dr. Najib Adamu, the Chancellor of BSU and Emir of Kazaure, urged the graduates to contribute to society and uphold the university’s reputation. Mr. Paul Chukwuma, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, emphasized the university’s expanded academic programs, including Architecture and Pharmacy.
