Who’s Eligible for the Mop-Up?
According to JAMB’s Public Communications Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the following candidates are eligible:
- Spill-over Candidates: 5,096 candidates who couldn’t complete the initial exam.
- Biometric Verification Issues: Candidates who faced challenges with biometric verification during the main exercise.
- Absentees: A whopping 91,742 candidates who missed both the main and resit exams.
How to Prepare and What to Expect
If you’re eligible, here’s what you need to do:
- Print Your Slip: Examination notification slips will be available for printing from Monday, June 23rd, 2025. Don’t miss this!
- Check Your Center: Make sure you know your assigned examination center.
- Prepare Adequately: Brush up on your subjects and get a good night’s rest before the exam.
Crackdown on CBT Centers: JAMB Takes Action!
In a bid to maintain the integrity of the examination, JAMB is cracking down on Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers involved in illicit practices.
- Delisting and Suspension: A total of 113 CBT centers have been delisted or suspended.
- Reasons: Technical deficiencies and involvement in sharp practices during mock, UTME, and resit exams.
- Consequences: Culpable centers will be delisted and reported for prosecution.
Important Notice: Examination Towns Deactivated!
Due to the ongoing investigations, some examination towns are no longer eligible for the mop-up exams. Candidates affected will be reassigned to the closest available towns. JAMB seeks the understanding of those affected.
