In a statement released by Hajiya Fatima Usara, Assistant Director, Information and Publications Division of NAHCON, it was confirmed that, miraculously, no lives were lost in the inferno. “NAHCON regrets to inform the public of a fire incident that occurred earlier Saturday…at one of the hotels accommodating Nigerian pilgrims… Thankfully, no lives were lost, and all pilgrims are safely in Mina,” the statement read.
